Get Involved Alpine Alternatives is a non-profit organization dedicated to making outdoor recreational opportunities available to Alaskans who experience disabilities. Since 1980, our programs have mixed fun and learning to create an environment that encourages people to develop skills, friendship and self-confidence. Each year more than 275 children and adults ski, camp, bike, hike, boat and experience the outdoors through Alpine's adaptive recreational programs. We are a community organization in the truest sense. Many of our programs are staffed by volunteers, and the majority of our services are funded by private sector donations. |

Alpine Alternatives depends on the community support for its survival. We devote our resources to programming, service and delivery. We pride ourselves on keeping our administrative budget small. We could not offer our excellent programs without loyal volunteers and contributors. Volunteers get as much as they give in becoming a "buddy" to an Alpine Alternative adventurer. Whether it's laughing, caring, sharing, or assisting others to believe in themselves... |
