About Us

The purpose of...
This statement of purpose is a declaration of intent, focus, and direction to those we serve and the Anchorage community. The Board of Directors and administration of Alpine have given a great deal of time and energy to this task because we believe that we should clearly communicate our intentions to those we serve and to those that support us. The statement of purpose is important to Alpine's administration because it insures that our programs are efficient and effective.

Alpine Alternatives...
This agency began in 1980 through the efforts of a great many dedicated individuals who had a strong commitment to the service of disabled individuals. Those that created Alpine knew that adapting recreation activities to the unique need of challenged individuals would result in much more than just physical abilities. The primary benefits to those that participate in Alpine's programs are increased self confidence, pride and independence. Because of this we are proud of what Alpine Alternatives has been, what it is now and what it will be.
